Cardmaking with Cricut: Circles

I have cut designs from four sheets of craft paper, using my Cricut Expression 2 machine. I decided to use these cut-outs in a series of cards, that I will be blogging about. In today's blog, we use simple circles, and a single heart to make a very elegant card which can be used for any occasion.

This was the layout that I selected to cut on the Cricut Expressions 2 cutting machine.

I cut the first sheet of 12" x 12" paper.

Carefully lift the extra paper away and/or remove the cutouts from the cutting mat.

I then cut the second sheet of paper.

This is what the designs look like when the extra paper is removed.

The third sheet of paper was fed into the Cricut.

The last sheet of paper was also cut.

When I was done, this was what my collection of cutouts looked like.

I selected a pink cardboard sheet to use as a card, and a purple paper sheet to use as matting.

I folded the cardboard in half to form a card.

Then I trimmed the matting to size.

I used double-sided tape to stick the matting to the card.

Then I stuck down the circles and single heart.

Lastly, I used the double-sided tape to stick a length of ribbon to the bottom of the card.

The very simple and elegant card was done.
