Cardmaking: Lilies from Circles

In this fourth card that we are making in the mini series on using circles to make cards, we will be using an unexpected item from the vanity to form our circles. We use the round cotton pads that we use to remove our makeup with, to form the petals of our lilies. I show you how in today's blog.

Trim the sheet of blue cardboard to have four straight edges.

Fold the cardboard in half to form a card.

Find 3 round cotton swabs from your vanity to use in the project.

Draw the insides of the flowers on the yellow cardboard and cut these out.

Stick the centres of the flowers down on the cotton swabs, using double-sided tape.

Put a line of glue on the cotton swabs.

Fold the sides over to form a flower.

Put double-sided tape on the card where the flowers will go.

Stick the flowers down on the card.

Use a green paint marker to draw the stems of the flowers.

Draw leaves for the flowers.

Draw grasses at the base of the card.

Use a black marker to draw shadows into the grasses, the leaves and on one side of the stems.

The completed card.
