Guidelines For Craft Products
Please take note: All work has to be the original work of thecrafter/artist. A Pretty Talent will notaccept or share responsibility for plagiarism or copying in any form of anotherperson’s work, regardless the format.
Follow these simple steps to have your work displayed in the section for Craft Products on APrettyTalent.com.
Send an emailto gallery@aprettytalent.com with the following information:
- The name under which you market your work;
- 5 Good quality photos (do not reduce the pixels to make the files smaller) of your completed works (1 photo each of 5 pieces):
2.1 Youshould pick 5 photos. If I require more,I will ask. Do not send more than five;
2.2 Photosmust be taken in good lighting conditions. Get as close as possible to the object. The product should fill the whole frame of the photo, preferablytouching all 4 sides in the lens. Ifthis is not possible, the photo should be cropped on the computer;
2.3 No partof the product may be cut off from the photo;
2.4 Make surethat your product is clearly visible. Ifmore photos should be taken to display different sides of the object, mark eachphoto clearly. For example Photo 1A(front view), Photo 1B (back view), Photo 1C (top view), etc.
2.5 Use amonotone backdrop and/or surface to set your product off clearly.
- If the files are too big to fit into one email, you can send more than one email;
- The title and details of each work must be clearly indicated (size, weight, framed/unframed, materials/medium(s), surface, any other relevant information;
- Between 10-25% commission will be added to the price of the product (this depends on the type of product);
- If you only make products on order (e.g. cake decorators etc.) you can still use the shop to market yourself. Provide me with photos of your product, dimensions, weight and all other relevant information. I will then indicate that you work on orders. A Pretty Talent will take a percentage of all orders that are placed through the shop.

Dit beveilig beide die kliënt, sowel as die verkoper. A Pretty Talent sal ook poog om mediasie te bewerkstellig waar daar ontevredenheid ontstaan.
- Other than with art, craft products are not necessarily uniquie. This is clearly indicated to prospective buyers. Still, it is necesary that all orders be as true to the example placed as possible. A Pretty Talent will keep all monies until the client has indicated their satisfaction. This safeguards both the client as well as the seller. A Pretty Talent will also attempt to mediate any differences.
- Include 2 or 3 sentences about yourself as crafter/artistt;
- The subject line of the email must be the nameunder which you promote your work.
- If you sell the work privately, we require that you inform us immediately so that we can keep the stock registers current. You can use the same email to send me a photo and the detail of another piece you would like to put in the Gallery.
- The item remains with you and if it is sold, I will arrange with you to have it delivered either to A Pretty Talent, or to the client. Packaging, posting/delivery is to be paid by the client/buyer and is automatically calculated at checkout.
- From time to time, I will approach crafters/artists whose work is featured in A Pretty Talent, to write a few paragraphs about themselves, which I will then post in the blog/news. These crafters/artists then become the Featured Crafter/Artists and we actively work towards promoting them and their works on various websites, social media and other platforms. The crafters/artists will be informed of these actions.
- We reserve the right to market your work as widely as possible.
- If your work is selected for display in the Gallery, you must create an account on the shop. This does not require any money. It will simply ensure that we have all the necessary contact and shipping details on file when orders are placed. You will be given an option to receive promotional material from the site. You are welcome to untick this option, if that is your preference. However, your own work may also appear on this material.

Let asb. op: Alle werk moet die oorspronklike werk van diekunstenaar/crafter wees. A Pretty Talentsal nie enige verantwoordelikheid neem, of deel, vir enige vorm van plagiaat ofkopiëring in enige vorm van iemand anders se werk nie, ongeag die formatdaarvan nie.
My aanlyn-winkel AprettyTalent.com het nou ’n afdeling vir Craft Productswaar gekeurde kunstenaars/crafters hulle werke kan uitstal. As jy belangstel omjou werke daar te sien en te bemark kan jy vir my ’n epos stuur na gallery@aprettytalent.commet die volgende inligting:
1. Die naam waaronder jy jouwerk bemark;
2. 5 Goeie fotos (moenie diepixels verminder om die file kleiner te maak nie) van jou voltooide werke (1foto elk van 5 werke):
2.1. Jy moet 5fotos kies. As meer fotos verlang word,sal dit aangevra word. Moenie meer as 5 fotosstuur nie;
2.2. Fotosmoet in goeie beligtings-omstandighede geneem word. Neem die foto so na as moontlik aan die produk,eerder as om die zoom funksie te gebruik. Die foto moet die hele lens vul, en verkieslik al vier die kante raak indie viewer. As dit nie moontlik is nie,moet die foto op die rekenaar ge-crop word;
2.3. Geen deelvan die produk mag afgesny word nie;
2.4. Maakseker dat jou produk duidelik sigbaar is. As meer fotos nodig is om die verskillende kante/aansigte van jou produkte wys, moet dit duidelik gemerk word as een stel fotos, bv. Foto 1A(vooraansig), Foto 1B (rugkant), Foto 1C (bo-aansig), ens.
2.5. Gebruik‘n monochromatiese agtergrond en/of oppervlak om jou produk teen af te neem,sodat dit duidelik sigbaar is..
3. As die files te groot is,kan jy dit in verskillende emails stuur;
4. Elke werk se naam endetails moet duidelik gemerk wees (grootte, gewig, geraam/ongeraam, materiaal/medium(s),surface/agtergrond;
5. Tussen10-25% kommissie sal gehef word op die prys van alle produkte (dit hang af vandie tipe produk);
6. As jyprodukte slegs op bestelling maak (bv. koekversierders, suikerkunstenaars ens.)kan jy steeds die winkel gebruik om jouself te bemark. Stuur vir my fotos van jou produkte met al die nodige inligting,soos gewig, afmetings ens. Ek sal danaandui dat jou produkte op bestelling beskikbaar is. A Pretty Talent neem ‘n persentasie van allebestellings wat deur die winkel geplaas word.
7. Anders asmet kuns, is ‘n craft produk nie noodwendig uniek nie. Dit word duidelik op die blad aangedui aanvoornemende kopers. Tog is dit belangrikdat bestellings so na as moontlik getrou sal bly aan die voorbeeld op dieblad. A Pretty Talent hou alle gelde totkliente hulle tevredenheid met die produk bevestig het. Dit beveilig beide die kliënt, sowel as dieverkoper. A Pretty Talent sal ook poog om mediasie te bewerkstellig waardaar ontevredenheid ontstaan.
8. Skryf vir my 2 of 3 sinne oorjouself as kunstenaar/crafter;
9. Die subject line van dieepos moet die naam wees waaronder jy jou produkte bemark.
10. As jy die werk privaatverkoop, moet jy my onmiddellik in kennis stel, sodat ek die webblad se stockkan opdateer. In dieselfde epos kan jy vir my ’n ander werk stuur om in dieverkoopte een se plek te bemark.
11. Die werk bly in jou besiten as dit verkoop, sal ek met jou reël om dit na die klient of na my teversend. Versendingskostes word deur die klient betaal en word outomaties opdie blad bereken by die betaalpunt.
12. Die blad het ook ’n blogfunksie. Van tyd tot tyd sal ek kunstenaars/crafters wie se werk op die webbladis, nader om ’n paar paragrawe oor hulle-self te skryf. Dit word dan in dieblog gesit en jy word ’n featured artist/crafter.
13. Ek behou die reg voor omjou werk en/of jou featured artistcrafter blog so wyd as moontlik te bemark(onder andere op sosiale netwerke soos Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterestens.)
14. As jouwerk gekies word om in die winkel ten toon gestel te word, moet jy asb ‘nrekening (account) oopmaak op die webwinkel. Dit behels geen geld nie. Dit issodat ons al jou kontak details en verskepingsadresse op lêer het wanneer daar‘n bestelling geplaas word. Gedurendehierdie proses sal jy die opsie gegee word om promosie materiaal van diewebblad te ontvang. Jy is welkom omhierdie opsie te deselekteer/‘untick’ as dit jou voorkeur is. Hou in gedagte dat jou eie werk ook inhierdie promosie materiaal mag verskyn.
